QR Code Spyder Offroad Business Cards

Friday, October 15th, 2010

What is a QR Code?

A QR Code is a two dimensional matrix bar code.  The creator of the code intended for a “Quick Response” when reading the code.  QR Code readers are now available on most smart phones.  You can use specific apps to read them.  I use Google Goggles to read QR Codes as well as other bar codes.

Why use a QR Code?

QR Codes are a simple fast way to gather contact information into your smart phone.  If someone hands you a business card with a QR code simply scan the code and import the information directly into your phone.  No need to type the information.

business_cards_spyder_offroadSpyder Off-Road contacted 509 Media to design a business card using their existing logo design.  After a short phone conversation it was decided to go with spot UV on the business card design to add dimension and extra flare to the business card layout. Spot UV is a process which defines what areas on the business cards will be matte finish and what areas will shine.  In the case of the Spyder Off-Road business cards we have the logo and spiderweb on one side of the card defined for spot UV, and on the opposite side of the business card the logo and spider are defined for spot uv.  In the image attached we have the spot areas of the card show as a gray color.  The gray will not be printed. Only the UV coating will be applied in these areas.

Gandy Electrical Service Business Cards

Thursday, September 16th, 2010

ges_electrical_businesscardsGandy Electrical Services (GES) contacted 509 Media after speaking with one of our happy clients.  GES electrical needed new business cards and wanted something custom to help them stand out in the crowd.  In the current economy construction is at a low and it is important to get out and market yourself effectively to gain new business.  Business cards in many cases are the first piece of marketing material potential clients will see.  If your business card is thrown together with little thought a potential customer may view your company and work the same way.  On the other hand if you show up with a professional business card, a nice looking company shirt, and present yourself in a positive manner a potential client will have a much better opinion of you and your services.

Electricians, carpenters, painters, and many others in the construction industry can benefit from paying close attention to how they market themselves.  If you would like to chat about your company feel free to email or call.  We will be happy to give you a free quote.

Maison Rive’ Hair Salon Business Card Design

Monday, September 13th, 2010

maison_rive_salon_businesscardsAn upscale hair salon, Maison Rive’, contacted 509 Media seeking a custom business card design to represent their hair salon.  Hair salon advertising comes in many forms, and a business card to represent the stylist is the most important advertising tool to get people in the salon.  Think about this for a moment.  Often times you make an assumption on a business or person in the first few seconds speaking with them.  Lets imagine you are standing in line at your favorite department store.  The person in line next to you asks what you do for a living.  If you reply with confidence and hand over a well designed professional business card this person will have a much higher opinion of you and your services.  This is key when trying to convert people into potential clients. The hardest step in this process can be getting people in the door of your hair salon the first time.  Of course you have to follow up with great customer service and outstanding service to seal the deal for a long term client.

Growing a business can start with a simple business card.  Do not over look your business cards.  They are inexpensive when compared to other advertising means.  In many cases a business card is more personal because you are handing the card to the potential client.  People can make assumptions based on how you present yourself and the marketing materials you hand to them.  If you would like to discuss custom business card designs and how they can benefit your hair salon please Contact 509 Media.

12 Volt Guy Business Card Design

Tuesday, August 17th, 2010

12voltguy_business_card12 Volt Guy knows the business of custom 12v switch panels very well.  Be sure to check out the 12 Volt Guy website for more information on their products and services.

The 12 Volt Guy business card design project was fun to work on.  It was great talking on the phone about old times in the off-road community.  The business card design came together a lot easier than some in recent past.  We used a carbon fiber texture on the card because a similar texture was used on their website.  We also have one of their switch panels in the back ground of the card.  The backside of the business card features an area to write notes if needed.

The business cards are printed on 16 pt card stock for a heavy durable feeling business card.  Only the front side of the business card received a UV coating to allow 12 Volt Guy the ability to write on the back.
