Sibley Lawn Care Business Cards

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

Lawn care companies are like any other business looking to build consumer confidence through branding, and quality service.  Branding a lawn care company can be done in many ways.  A very important task is keep your appearance consistent to establish a sense of brand for your company.  In other words you want people to recognize your lawn care company without the need to read a book on your business card, truck graphics, or yard sign.  A company logo can help you create a sense of brand by showing it on everything you do.

Sibley Lawn Care is Dothan, Alabama came to 509 Media in need of a lawn care company logo, business cards, graphics for their new Isuzu Box truck, and more.  We started with the company logo first.  The lawn care company business card design you see here is straight to the point.  It showcases the lawn care company logo and makes the name stand out to the person viewing the business card.  The same logo will be used on full color yard signs and vinyl graphics for the Isuzu Box Truck.

For updates on this and other projects be sure to check back to 509 Media soon.

Hobby Store Business Cards for RC Fun

Sunday, May 16th, 2010

rcfun_business_cardsBusiness cards can improve your chances for customer recall.  What I mean is if you give a customer a plain Jane business card that looks just like all of the others handed to them the chances of being remembered go way down.  I am not saying a business card like this is good for all businesses.  In the case of radio controlled cars a colorful custom business card will improve chances for customer recall.  The RC Fun business card design carries elements over from the online store to help create a sense of brand for the hobby shop.

The RC Fun Hobbies business cards are printed on thick 16 pt card stock and UV coated on the front side only.  UV coating makes the surface shine.  The reason we did not coat the rear face of the card is to make it easier for RC Fun staff to write on the rear of the business card.  Business cards like the RC Fun Hobbies cards can be ordered in quantities as low as 250.  Because of pricing we typically recommend starting out with a minimum of 500 cards.  We regularly print business cards in 500, 1000, 2500, 5000, and 10,000 quantities.  Contact 509 Media today for a quote on custom business cards.

Jenkins Welding Business Cards

Friday, May 14th, 2010

jenkins_welding_business_cards509 Media has a long history in metal fabrication and welding.  Because of this history we have gotten to know welders and fabricators around the world.  Jenkins Welding tapped 509 Media for the task of creating a company logo, business cards, and contour cut vinyl stickers.  Some companies may find the skull on a general welding company business card a little to on edge.  It really comes back to what the owner of the company wants.  With a passion for tattoos and getting things done Jenkins wanted a business card to reflect their style.  Some people like the skull and some may not.  I think the attitude here is if you don’t like it… well I am sure you can figure it out from here.

The Jenkins Welding business cards were printed on 16 point card stock with a uv coat on the front side only.  The rear of the card does not have the uv coating to allow notes and other information to be written. This welding business card design continues elements from the front of the card to the rear.  The red center piece was left off the rear to make room f0r writing.

Extreme Roc Rigs Business Cards

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

err_businesscardsExtreme Roc Rigs in Huntsville, Alabama contacted us to design and print business cards for their offroad shop.  The business cards needed to reflect the offroad company’s image.  The crew here at 509 Media visited their website to see what colors were being used to make sure their image carried over to the new business card design.  The background image from their website was used as the background image on the front side of the business card layout.  The company logo was supplied for use on the business card.  The owner of Extreme Roc Rigs wanted the business cards cut with rounded corners.  The image posted does not reflect this but we will update the thread soon with actual pictures of the business cards.

The rear of the business card design will not receive UV coating to allow for quotes and misc notes to be written on the cards.  The front side of the business cards will receive UV coating to make them shine. The cards are printed on 16 pt card stock for a thick feeling business card.

Bent and Twisted Offroad Shop Business Cards

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

benttwisted_cardsI have known Mike for many years.  His company Bent and Twisted Fabrication bought parts from me when I opened Blue Torch FabWorks.  He has been in the offroad vehicle fabrication business for a few years now and understands how to build a good looking and functional offroad buggy.  The business card layout for his offroad business used his existing logo that he provided to 509 Media.  We used the colors from the logo to layout the background graphics.  We used simple easy to read fonts on the business cards.  The front side of the business cards were UV coated and the rear was left un-coated to provide a place to write notes.  The cards were printed on thick 16 pt card stock.

If you need a business card layout designed and printed be sure to contact 509 Media.  Our rates are very affordable.

Woodland Car Care Business Cards with Spot UV

Thursday, April 22nd, 2010

woodland_car_wash_business_cardsA few months back 509 Media began working on a logo design, stickers, and other marketing materials for Woodland Car Care.  Woodland is a car wash and car detailing company.  The owner of the car wash wanted custom business cards to reflect a modern image.  The business cards feature spot uv which makes only certain sections of the business card shine.  Spot uv works to give the card depth.  When placing a business card like the Woodland Car Care in front of people they can not help to pick it up and check it out.

The car wash business cards were printed in full color on 16 pt card stock.  Woodland Car Care ordered 10,000 business cards to help kick start the new car wash business.  10,000 cards typically start at 160 dollars and go up depending on options like spot uv or rounded corners.  Call 509 Media today if you would like to get started on custom business cards for your business.

Check out the pictures of the cards printed below.  In the pictures you can see how spot uv adds to the look and feel of the business cards.  You will be able to see more in the angle shots.  Spot UV can be difficult to capture in a picture.

Studio One Hair Salon Business Cards

Sunday, April 18th, 2010

studio_one_businesscardsStudio One Hair Salon wanted 509 Media to design and print new business cards for their salon located near Auburn, Alabama.  The design was left open to the graphic designers at 509 Media.  Action was taken to design and print a high quality business card for the hair salon.  The business cards are printed on high quality heavy 16 pt card stock and UV coated on the front side only to make them shine.  The UV coating was left off the rear of the card to allow for the hair stylist to write appointment times on the read side of the business card.  A hair stylist earns their money by building clientele for repeat business. Often times if a stylist leaves a salon the clients will follow their stylist because of the stylist client relationship.  With that said a hair stylist needs to consider their work as a little business within the larger business being the salon.  It is important for the stylist to establish a brand or name for themselves within their given market area.  The market area can be as large or small as people are willing to come see you for your hair styling abilities.

A well put together business card design can speak volumes about your hair salon business.  If you are standing in line at the grocery store and someone asks what you do for a living you should have a response to fire back at them in less than 10 seconds.  DO NOT have a long drawn out story of how you worked over there and now work over here.  You will bore people.  Get to the point and make an impact.  Have your business cards on you at all times to capitalize on every opportunity that comes your way.  You will never know when an opportunity will come to gain new business.  After you tell the potential client what you do make sure you are handing putting a business card  in their hand and ask them to drop by for a visit sometime.

I know a couple hair stylists who operate their own websites as a portfolio of their work.  On the business card you can place the website address to direct people back to your work.  Part of the goal is to make sure people recall what services you offer the next time they have a need.  Like 509 Media your website can be built to easily add information to the the website without the need to know a lot about computers.  509 Media will be happy to talk about setting up a portfolio website if you are interested.  509 Media can also show you different way you can promote your brand and the advertise your hair salon.
