Vinyl cut letting starts out as a solid sheet of colored vinyl. In this case the vinyl is white and the end result is a white sticker. After laying out the design the computer and our plotter cuts the lettering out. We then “weed” out the areas we do not want to be in the sticker and apply application tape over the top. Application tape is sometimes called masking. The application tape allows you to pull the sticker from the backing and apply it to the desired surface. Once installed you simply remove the application tape leaving the vinyl lettering behind.
