Blue Torch Fab Fusion Chassis Wrap

Mike George wanted to wrap his 4 seat Blue Torch Fab Fusion Chassis with a graphic to play off of the orange paint on the hood. Mike and his son hit trails around the south east with this well built buggy. It features a RamJet 502 fuel injected engine with 4 link suspensions front and rear. The side body panels that are wrapped were fabricated from 1/8 inch aluminum plate. It is a little thick for body panels but he wanted panels that could be beat out when he bends them. Yes, when he bends them. This buggy gets used and beat on the hardest southern trails.

Typically speaking a wrap like this can be designed and shipped out to you. If you want to wrap the body panels on your buggy feel free to contact 509 Media for details. We will instruct you on what we need to dimension your body panels. Setting up for the wrap is not a huge deal so do not worry about the process too much. This is something we have done many times.

Vinyl Graphics for Red Bull Rock Crawlers

Dustin and Becca Webster from the Red Bull Rock Crawlers have become great friends over the years. In 2006 I had the opportunity to build them a new and improved competition rock crawler at my former business Blue Torch FabWorks. Rob “Bender” Park was working for me at the time and was the lead guy on the project. Bender did an awesome job working with Dustin to get them what they wanted.

The graphics on the crawler were for the most part printed. The only elements that were simple vinyl cut letters are the driver and spotter name stickers. Red Bull sent over the official files to print the Red Bull. Please do not send an email asking for the files because I can not share them with you.

The entire project was a lot of fun. Even going down to a local dealership to take pictures for the fake tail lights I printed. If you look close in the artwork you will see a picture of bender holding his hand out with a flame on it. I decided to put Benders face in the tail light as a little way of saying thanks for all of the effort in helping this project come together. In the above picture you can see the Blue Torch Fab logo hidden in the other printed tail light wrap.

Desktop Wrap

A few years ago I wrapped my desktop. It always made for a good conversation sitting at the desk. When people would ask, “Why the one hundred dollar bill?” I would simply reply, “At least now there is no mistake what we are sitting here talking about, money”.

509 Media can design and print a table top or desk top wrap for you. We use 3M Controltac vinyl and laminate it to protect the ink. We can do anything from a crazy graphic to incorporating your company logo into the design. RC Rock Crawler Wrap Losi MRC

I have been involved in the sport and business of rock crawling for many years. I built an internationally known business building real rock crawlers and parts for them. Along the way I found an interest in radio control rock crawlers. RC rock crawling over the years has developed from people who have the real ones to those who only do rc. I never thought I would meet someone who knew nothing of the full size industry but I did.

I have owned many different rc rock crawlers. I have even built a few custom tube chassis my rc rock crawlers. While messing around with the cars I began printing wraps for them. Wraps are graphics printed on 3M vinyl just like we use to wrap a real car. I bought a Losi MRC 1/18 scale rock crawler for my son. I left the hobby store and went straight to my shop to design and print a custom wrap for him. At the time I was still involved with Blue Torch Fab so the wrap has BTF all over it.

The graphic kit pictured can be purchased from here on 509 Media or through TCS Crawlers. It is a quick easy way to change out the boring graphics on the stock Losi MRC. Installing the wrap is very easy. First remove the factory stickers. Clean the lexan body with a little alcohol. Make sure it is dry. Then place the wrap on each panel and make sure to push any air bubbles out. You should not have an issue with bubbles because of the vinyl used. It is the same 3M Controltac vinyl we use to wrap vehicle and trailers.

Losi is a great company. I was introduced to Bill Jeric, the president of Horizon Hobbies / Losi in 2008 at the Off-Road Expo in Pomona, CA. After the show Bill and I got on the phone and exchanged ideas through email. When the 2.2 Losi Rock Crawler was introduced a few months back we help with a promotional giveaway on Pirate4x4.

Jeep LJ Rock Crawler Half Wrap

Jeep LJ Rock Crawler Wrap

English Dave was a great guy to work with. The half wrap on this Jeep using all custom graphics. The client wanted to add some “color” to the Jeep so we suggested a half wrap. We wrapped the sides of the Jeep LJ, the rear, the custom roof panel, and the center of the hood. The wrap was printed on 3M Controltac Vinyl and laminated to protect the ink. A wrap like this one is a very easy way to change the look of a vehicle without painting. The wrap will help protect the paint from tree limb scratches. The vehicle wrap can be removed easily. As long as the paint on your vehicle is in good shape it will not harm the paint. Be sure to contact 509 Media for more information on the wrap.

If you want more info on the Jeep LJ here are the details as I remember. The custom cage was fabricated by Blue Torch Fab. It works with the half cab hard top manufactured by GR8TOPS.

Blue Torch Fab Misc Logo Designs

Blue Torch Fab Skull Logo

Blue Torch Fab over the years has kept a steady image in the offroad industry through solid product design and bold graphics. In an industry fueled by excitement you have to excite people around you with a little extra fuel. Following are a couple misc Blue Torch Fab logo’s used for hats and work shirts.

The skull logo was created initially to be used on a Dickies work shirt, but would later be used on hats as well. The skull logo was also made into printed and contour cut decals which you can purchase on the Blue Torch Fab website. If you are interested in purchasing a BTF Skull Logo hat they can be found HERE. When printing decals the red border around the edge is dropped. The red border is designed into the logo for embroidery. The added border helps the logo stand out when embroidered to various fabric colors. Be sure to check out the following pictures to see how the red border effects the logo.

The BlueTorchFab.com logo to the right was used on the rear of the hats. It would have looked a little funny simply embroidering bluetorchfab.com on the rear of the hat in a standard font. After all it is Blue Torch Fab we are talking about. Everything has to look good as well as function the best it possibly can.

Another Blue Torch Fab logo used for embroidery on hats is the famous BTF letters. The letters are used to laser cut branding into steel plate. It has become a symbol of the BTF brand around the world. The BTF letter logo is a simple yet effective design. Again the border around the letters is there to make the logo stand off when embroidered on to hats and shirts. Blue Torch Fabworks Race Trailer Wrap

Bluetorchfab Enclosed Trailer

Blue Torch FabWorks, Inc. (aka BTF, bluetorch, blutorchfab). BTF is the world leader in do it yourself rock crawler fabrication products. BTF is located in Birmingham, AL. If you are looking for BTF be sure to click the link and give Jason Carner a call. If you see this trailer going down the highway be sure to wave. A couple words about BTF history here. I am very proud to say I started this company in 2001 in Dothan, AL. I just want to make things clear and not confuse people. Jason Carner bought in as a partner in late 2007. In September 2009 I sold Jason the remaining shares of the company. Even though I am no longer part of the company I am still very proud of the BTF and what it means in the offroad industry. I am very excited to see what Jason and the rest of the BTF crew come up with.

Now for the trailer. It is a 44 foot smooth side enclosed trailer. The design needed to scream Blue Torch as it is going down the road. The trailer is used at large events like King of the Hammers. At the KOH event the trailer is parked on the lake bed and needed to show BTF from a long distance away. You will notice BLUETORCHFAB.COM covers the entire side of the trailer. A very nice feature of this wrap is the side doors are wrapped on the inside as well. The benefit is the wrap carries with the doors open at events.

The wrap was printed on a Mutoh printer using 3M CV3 vinyl with a luster finish laminate. The end result is a clean looking wrap that is very effective in marketing the BTF brand. More pictures of this trailer can be seen on the Blue Torch Fab website.
