PRI Magazine Ad For JMR Manufacturing

pri_12th_page_bkPerformance Racing (PRI) is a trade publication for the racing industry.  PRI also hosts a premier trade show for the racing industry once a year in Orlando, Florida.  PRI covers circle track racing, drag racing, off-road racing, and all other forms of racing you can think of. JMR Manufacturing needed a 1/12 page magazine ad layout for the PRI Magazine.  The ad layout required black and white copy and graphics.  The graphic design uses dominate black space to help make the ad stand out on the page. PRI Magazine Ad for JMR

jmr_ad_3rdJMR Manufacturing of Creston, California is in the business of building high quality American made fabrication Tools.  Be sure to check out JMR if you are in the market for a tube bender, tube notcher, belt sander, fabrication table, and so on.

The JMR ad is a black and white 1/3 page vertical ad.  It will be running in the PRI Magazine’s Fabrication Issue.  If you do not know what PRI is you might like to know it is the Performance Racing Industry.  PRI hosts the mega race trade show in Orlando, Florida each year.  If you are into racing, cool tools, and parts PRI should be on your list of places to visit.

The JMR ad layout was simple and to the point.  The requirements for the ad stated the ad had to be black and white.  After a few mock ups it was decided to stay with the bold contrast of the solid black on white.  509 Media is in the business of building businesses.  Give 509 Media a call for details on ad layout.

Full Color Stickers for Wabfab Off-road

dsc_9306I have been printing stickers for Wabfab Offroad for many years now.   I recently realized we have never taken pictures of the stickers.  The stickers for Wabfab are printed in full color on vinyl and then laminated.  The inks used for printing stickers like these are UV stable inks for a long lasting print outdoors.  The laminate is a clear vinyl that is pressed over the vinyl after it is printed to help protect the inks.  The laminate also makes the stickers feel much thicker.  These are not the cheap screen printed bumper stickers you find in gas stations.

Once the stickers are printed and laminated we then load the vinyl into the plotter to be contour cut or die cut depending on what you want to call it.  A contour cut follows the shape or contour of the design.  Contour cuts produce a much higher quality looking sticker over cutting a square around the logo.

Blue Torch Fab Website Design (Old Design)

Many of you may know my history with Blue Torch FabWorks, Inc.  I started the company as a dream and worked on branding the company everyday up until I sold the business to Jason.  If you would like to read more about the shop I have a couple articles posted HERE.  I was going through some old pictures the other day and found the following screen shots of the old Blue Torch Fab website design.  I think the site did an effective job projecting the company image and letting people know what Blue Torch Fab was about.  The screen shots pictured are of the front end of the website.  The online shopping cart was driven by Oscommerce / CRE Loaded which was themed with a similar header and graphics.  What you see in the attached pictures was created in Photoshop and sliced for the web.  This version of the website was taken down in favor of WordPress about 6 months ago.

JMR Manufacturing Website Design

jmr_mfg_websiteJMR Manufacturing is in the business of building fabrication equipment for those who really plan to use their tools.  What I mean by this is JMR utilizes state of the art CNC machining equipment and quality materials to manufacture their tubing benders, hole saw notchers, dimple dies, and belt grinders.  If you have not seen the JMR belt grinder (belt sander) then you are missing out on some serious billet aluminum eye candy.

JMR needed a new website to not only sell product but to also a serve as an information base to their customers.  The front end of the site is powered by WordPress to serve as an information base for customers. 509 Media designed a custom WordPress theme for the JMR website project.  509 Media is currently working on an online store for JMR Manufacturing and should be up in the coming weeks.

The online store will showcase JMR Manufacturing’s product line and allow online customers to purchase product.  509 Media will be implementing features for SEO (search engine optimization).  After all what good is a website if potential customers can not locate it easily.

Website Header Design for Frontier 4X4

frontier4x4_siteWhile talking to the owner of Frontier 4×4 yesterday about the new logo design we created he asked if we could change out the Header image on their website.  The website design they are using is based from a spliced Photoshop file.  Rather than starting with the psd file provided to 509 Media we choose to take the existing website header and replace the area needed.  Doing this saves design time and money for the client.  In the future we do more work on the site for them as needed.  Check out the header and let us know what you think.

Noticed the dry and cracking mud layer in the back ground.  We then put a green pattern layer on top of the mud and set it to overlay.  There are a few more steps involved getting to this point but for most people this will be enough information. The new Frontier 4×4 Logo was placed on the header and given a grunge effect.  The Toyota rock crawler layer was blended using a layer mask.  Making small changes like this can change the overall look and feel of a website.  If you would like to hire 509 Media as your web designer feel free to contact us anytime for more information.
