Full Size XJ Gear Stickers

Richard of Full Size XJ Gear operates a nice business in the offroad industry. Richard wanted me to put together a logo / sticker for his company. Richard wanted a lot of information on the sticker in a limited amount of space. Rather than listing the information out I decided to break the design up a with font changes, and font size changes. In addition I also changed the colors up a little. The end goal was to break the design up and give a focal point for your eyes to go to. The end result received a black stroke (outline) around the design for the contour cut.

Once the design was completed and approved by Richard I then printed the full color stickers. Soon after a grip full of peel and stick stickers for their large base of offroad customers were on the way. Be sure to visit Full Size XJ Gear and tell them you want a full color sticker.

Business Cards for WabFab Offroad

509 Media has been supplying Brian and the WabFab crew decals, and other marketing materials for a few years. Last week Brian asked if we could come up with a new business cards for him. We carried the theme from their branding efforts over to the business card. The WabFab logo is front and center on the business card with very easy to read text around the logo. I reverse side of the business card will also be printed with a yellow back ground and the “Wabbit” showing. The front of the business cards will receive a UV coating which will make the card shine. The rear of the business cards will not be UV coated. I normally advise against it on most cards. The reason is the UV coating makes it difficult to write on the card. With the matte finish on the rear you can easily write on the business card if the need ever comes up.

Blue Torch Fab Skull Logo

Blue Torch Fab over the years has kept a steady image in the offroad industry through solid product design and bold graphics. In an industry fueled by excitement you have to excite people around you with a little extra fuel. Following are a couple misc Blue Torch Fab logo’s used for hats and work shirts.

The skull logo was created initially to be used on a Dickies work shirt, but would later be used on hats as well. The skull logo was also made into printed and contour cut decals which you can purchase on the Blue Torch Fab website. If you are interested in purchasing a BTF Skull Logo hat they can be found HERE. The BTF Skull logo gives off a sense of attitude. If you make it over to buy a hat be sure to let them know 509 Media sent you.

When printing decals the red border around the edge is dropped. The red border is designed into the logo for embroidery. The added border helps the logo stand out when embroidered to various fabric colors. Be sure to check out the following pictures to see how the red border effects the logo.

The BlueTorchFab.com logo to the right was used on the rear of the hats. It would have looked a little funny simply embroidering bluetorchfab.com on the rear of the hat in a standard font. After all it is Blue Torch Fab we are talking about. Everything has to look good as well as function the best it possibly can.

Another Blue Torch Fab logo used for embroidery on hats is the famous BTF letters. The letters are used to laser cut branding into steel plate. It has become a symbol of the BTF brand around the world. The BTF letter logo is a simple yet effective design. Again the border around the letters is there to make the logo stand off when embroidered on to hats and shirts. Morris Mountain Offroad Park Logo / Stickers

Morris Mountain ORV

If you are into rock crawling and live in the south then you have heard of Morris Mountain Offroad Park. Randy Morris has a great park and wants everyone to have a great time. If you have not had a chance to visit the park I encourage you to make the trip over. It is located just outside of Birmingham, Alabama. Randy wanted some decals printed for the park. We ran them in a couple different colors. If you want a Morris Mountain sticker be sure to let them know Dan at 509 Media sent you.

I should point out we also did the logo pictured. The design needed to be a peel a stick design. The design could easily be used as a company logo for the park. If your business needs some decals printed be sure to contact 509 Media.

4×4 Oil Logo Design

Dirk from 4×4 Oil contacted me in regard to a logo. The 4×4 Oil logo needed to drive people back to his website and create a brand identity for the company. This project was done about 4 years ago. I have made a couple minor changes to the logo over this time, but the over all look has remained constant. Once you create a logo you are creating a brand, and it is important to build from the look.

The 4x4Oil logo is simple and gets the point across.

Logo Creation for Dragoon Offroad

Dragoon Offroad contacted 509 Media to have a logo created to represent their new company. The name Dragoon has a historical meaning and they wanted to include some history in the logo. A quick Google search of Dragoon will show the meaning behind the name.

The logo needed to be able to laser cut into steel plate. It also needed to have an appealing look and feel for use on clothing. The logo can be used with out the dragon if needed.

This project also required the logo to be digitized for embroidery. We converted the logo and now have it ready for use on hats, work shirts, or what ever the client wants to put it on. When digitizing a file you have to first determine what size it needs to be. In other words if you digitize a file for use on a shirt pocket you can not scale the same file to fit the rear of a jacket. A new larger digitized file would need to be created. The logo to the left if the original artwork. I will post a picture of the file embroidered below. If you notice the embroidered copy drops the gradient shown in the original logo. This was done to make the logo easier to read when embroidered and to help keep stitching cost down.

We are not done with this project. Decals and other items will be printed as soon as the customer gets ready for them. I will update the post as we add to the project.
